Montana de Oro State Park, Pinnacles National Monument, Ventana Wilderness
The Central Coast has several other gorgeous and fun wilderness areas besides Big Sur, and these can serve as the focal point of a full day wilderness adventure. Montana de Oro offers stunning coastline, rock scrambling or massive sand dunes without any strenuous approach hike. Bear Gulch Cave in Pinnacles National Monument is a fun, spooky 1/2 mile adventure through a dark, winding cave, with a creek flowing right through it. The hike leads to a small lake. In the Ventana Wilderness there are many possibilities, from The Indians Rock Formations to Arroyo Seco. Depending on the time of year, the age ranges in your group and how physical or relaxed you’d like your day to be, we can come up with a day plan that gets you exactly the experience you’re looking for.

Lunch, Beer, Wine, etc.
We can do any combination of activities that your group prefers. Bring a picnic lunch or we can eat at one of several great locations along the Big Sur Coast (or get fish and chips in Morro Bay after a Montana de Oro hike). There are several wineries in the San Simeon and Cambria area, and the Central Coast has plenty of breweries if your afternoon requires some suds. These are 100% custom itineraries, so let’s get creative and make sure you and your family/group have a truly perfect adventure :)
